A Mother is an amazing person. She gives life, she nurtures, she teaches, she cares. She is strong, she is vibrant, she is versatile. She is loyal, she is dedicated, she is diverse. A mother is by no means perfect and every mother makes mistakes. However, she learns as she goes and becomes stronger by the day. There is nobody more determined, there is nobody more committed and there is nobody more dependable than a mother.

They decided to step up to the plate and made a choice to love somebody else's children as their own.
They know at times it will cause them pain, take everything they have to make it work and that they will have to make sacrifices.
Most importantly, they know it's worth it.

A Parent's Prayer.

Lord, I do not ask you for anything for me, that you would watch over and protect my children is all I ask of thee as by blessing them, you are also blessing me. Please make their lives long, healthy and happy, and once they are grown, may you bless them with children of their own. Should the day come when they must walk the road without me, I ask that in your mercy you would see that in my absence they never walk the path alone. Please never let them forget that they are, and always will be deeply loved by me. Amen.

A Message to my Daughter.

My Daughter.

I look at you and I do not see the passage of time. I see my little girl playing dress up, running through the yard, playing on a swing. I will try and respect the fact that you are older now and the decisions you will make are your own, but you must understand that to me, you will always be my little girl.
I may not be able to carry you in my arms anymore, but I will always carry you in my heart.

When you were born, you never came with instructions. I know I have made some mistakes along the way and for those I am sorry. 
I am far from being the perfect parent, but I have always done the best I could. The mistakes came from a lack of understanding, not a lack of love because from the moment you were born into my life, I knew I would love you with all I am. On the day you were born I looked into your eyes and all of my dreams came true. 
I love you more than you will ever know, now and for all eternity.
